Structuralism

DEFINITION

A school of art or of art criticism that advocates and employs a method of analyzing phenomena chiefly by contrasting the elemental structures of the phenomena in a system of binary opposition.Quote: "By day, Structuralists constructed the structure of meaning and pondered the meaning of structure.
