Society of western artists 1939 to present

Founded in San Francisco as a branch for the Society for Sanity in Art, it has become the largest society of painters in realist style in the United States. One of their awards was the Logan Medal of Art, named for Josephine Hancock Logan, founder of the Sanity in Art. Source: Wikipedia
