Polyvinyl chloride

DEFINITION

Polyvinyl chloride, abbreviated PVC, is a flexible sheet plastic which can be sewn, glued, or welded. Shapes made from PVC may be stuffed, inflated or filled with water. Inexpensive plastic pipes, and their related fittings, commonly used by plumbers, are usually made of PVC.
