Plastic - plastic art

DEFINITION

A term used both as a noun and an adjective. As a noun Plastic refers to synthetic polymer that can be molded permanently to a desired shape. Industrial plastics are made from synthetic resins by molding, casting or extruding. American sculptors who have created work using Plastic include Linda Benglis, Jeff Koons, Claes Oldenburg, Frank Gallo, Leo Amino and Chryssa Vardea. As an adjective, Plastic means pliable or capable of being molded. Plastic Art is three-dimensional art or two-dimensional art that gives the impression through realistic perspective of being three dimensional.
