Newlyn society of artists

DEFINITION

Founded in 1895 and now with a Society membership of about 150 painters, photographers, printmakers, and multi-media artists, the Society and Gallery are in Cornwall, England. For exhibitions, the Society has a working relationship with the Newlyn Gallery, which was built by benefactor John Passmore Edwards.
