Minneapolis school of fine arts

DEFINITION

Founded in 1886 with the name School of Fine Arts, the first class had 28 students of which 26 were women. In 1910, the name was changed to the Minneapolis School of Art, and in 1970, the name changed again---becoming the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Today the school offers degrees of Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Fine Arts. The campus is at 2501 Stevens Avenue next to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Alumni include Adolf, Wanda Gag, James Rosenquist, and Peter Seitz. Source: Wikipedia
