Lambent fellowship in the arts

DEFINITION

Established by the Tides Foundation in 2005, the goal is "to support diversity and stimulate New York's cultural dialogue." Visual and performing artist recipients who are "making exciting and high quality work" get $21,000. in installments of three years for unrestricted activity. However, it must be in line with the Tides Foundation mission of creating "a positive impact on people's lives in ways that honor and promote human rights, justice, and a healthy, sustainable environment." Recipients include Sanford Biggers, Nao Bustamante, Jennifer Monson, and Ivan Monforte.
