Cos cob art colony

DEFINITION

A lively colony of artists between 1890 to 1920 and located at Cos Cob, which was a section of Greenwich, Connecticut. There American Impressionism took shape under the direction of John Twachtman, Childe Hassam, Theodore Robinson, and J. Alden Weir.
