Art degree

DEFINITION

An academic title given by a college or university to a student who has successfully completed a course of study. Sometimes such a degree is conferred as an honorary distinction.Examples of art degrees: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.), Master of Arts (M.A.), and Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.).A joke [a bad joke]: The graduate with a Science degree asks, "Why does it work?" The graduate with an Engineering degree asks, "How does it work?" The graduate with an Accounting degree asks, "How much will it cost?" The graduate with a Fine Arts degree asks, "Do you want mustard with that?"
